In this documentary “babies” show the life of four babies from Mongolia, Namibia, San Francisco, and Tokyo. It also saw the culture on the influence on the development of the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial of the four babies from other countries. The culture of each baby is very different when we see from their life and the environment. For example, the place of their born like Ponijao and Bayarjargal theirs have a very poor family so theirs born the babies at home. So it is not like the lives of other people who are born in a hospital and can get a very good service but all of them were born healthy.

In the early few months, the baby breastfed at their mother. It is because breast milk has good nutrition for the baby. So, they should take milk from their mother to get good milk because can help to protect the baby from infections such as diarrhea, colds, and more. That means it is very important to the baby when they still a baby.

Besides, this documentary also shows the cognitive development where the babies were learn something from their observation and from the visual. They were learn something from the people around them. For example, the babies from Namibia they always learn something from their brother and did what their brother did cause they don’t have a thing to play it is like a toy or something and they just play with animal and nature thing in their environment. Not only that, but they also cry when their brother was angry and hit them. But for the other baby who was a different environment and culture, they are learning something from the book and the toys and so on. Not only that they actually have many things to use to improve their knowledge and so on.

Moreover,  the babies actually have their own personality which is relative to emotion, temperament, and behavior. It is because they can cry, angry, and sad at the time. For example, Bayar cries when they feel uncomfortable and from that, they try to get attention from their mother. But for the Mari and Hattie, their mother sent them to the school it is because their mother was busy with work so that they actually have no time with their mother. But when their mother sends them to school the teacher was teaching them to sing and play together. From that, a baby is not boring and can happy with them.

My overall to the documentary is this documentary was taught and tell us about other people's cultures and see their environment surrounding us. Besides, I also can learn something that I never know from this documentary. I also can see the different environments of the four babies. This documentary can tell us about something that we never know before this.
